I have 2 of those ,and they just seem more sturdy. It's ok it's a 20$ sight is it better than the 16$ sight idk probably not it will get you until you can afford a quality sight. I can definitively say that, no, it's not metal, but it's just as strong if not stronger. This thing is so solid that I thought it might actually be metal until I took a file to clean up a mold line on the underside. Posted by This thing is solid! on 13th Jan 2020 The Micro Aimpoint adapter fits snugly into the top with no play it's actually more secure than with a metal handle. And I mounted a Sig Romeo 5 on top of it with a KZ Carry Handle Mount. The only fix for this is to have both windage and elevation changes made on the rear sight like the HK system or hope like hell your gun shoots to the correct elevation with the front sight post centered in the front circle.I reviewed this before, but now I have some actual trigger time behind it. Again if the post is not in the center of the front diopter this will be two different POAs. What happens is if the tip of the front sight post is not centered you will fight to either center the post or center the circles. The thing that most people seem to forget is that if you have the front sight post anywhere but in the center of the front hood/ring/diopter you are NOT getting a true diopter sight picture. However in low light conditions or at greater distances you will find a dot is faster. In daylight conditions I found the diopters to be as fast as a red dot at reasonable ranges. The diopter sighting system can be extremely fast as your eye will naturally align circles within circles. I have a good deal of time on HK guns from my time on SWAT and working for HK ITD back in the day. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'm wondering what others here have found. Of course, the sight post blocks some of the field of view, so I'm not saying it's overall as good as the red dot, but I was just as accurate on paper targets. I've never had that be the case with the MBUS or the A2 front sight (regardless of the rear). Related Products Customers Also Viewed Quick view Choose Options.

Easily install and remove with thumbscrews. Adjustable for windage and elevation with dual aperture for long rand and short range shooting. All aluminum construction and ready for abuse. When I went to the range today, I quickly figured out that with that setup, all I had to do was line up so the HK-style donut was occluded by the MaTech peep and I was just as accurate with the irons as with the red dot (in this case a Holosun). Our Rear Sight Carry Handle fits the bill perfectly. Most recently, I replaced a Troy A2 fixed, rail-mounted front sight for a Troy flip-up HK-style for the front of one upper that had a MaTech on the rear. I've always been OK on the irons, but definitely not as accurate as with optics. All but the retro have red dots or holos. The M-forgery I posted to the custom build forum has a gas-mounted A2 flip-up and a MaTech rear. As I've built up four uppers, they have A2 (one with gas block front carry handle rear), MBUS, and various combinations of A2 front and MaTech rear sights. Later, I ditched the scope and went with MBUS and a red dot. When I built my first AR, I put a cheap-o scope on it and decent 45-degree BUIS in A2-style front & back.
